About the Position:

FSR Trucking is currently recruiting an Operational Supervisor to join our WPB, FL team. This role will successfully assist managing the Terminal on delivering the mail safely and efficiently. Our Ops-Supervisor will also maintain and enforce company standards for safety, quality, efficiency, cost, service, training, and development. This position may require the ability to drive at times, work weekends, and receive after-hour calls as need it. Managing responsibility will be share with another Ops-Supervisor in a weekly bases. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and evaluates the safety of each employee daily.
  • Coordinates with Terminal Supervisor new hire’s training.
  • Reacts to staffing schedule needs to meet post office demands.
  • Monitors multiple drivers route departures/return.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and teaches safe driving habits.
  • Assist during breakdown or accidents.
  • Directly assist PO to ensure mail is delivered timely/safely.
  • Closely works with the Post Office Staff to meet operational demands.
  • Provide instruction, analyses, suggest ideas for the improvement of operations.
  • Provides training and feedback to employees on a continual basis.
  • Participates in safety meetings.
  • Motivate drivers to exceed goals and maintain the on-time performance percentage.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all areas of service center operations.
  • Assist on monitoring equipment maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with drivers, internal associates, and Post Office staff.
  • Speak with drivers, evaluating their needs and maintaining a successful relationship.
  • Interface with various departments at corporate office such as billing, HR, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures while making safety conscious decisions and promoting a safety culture.
  • Able to work weekends and nights.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required,
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Maintains a valid CDL-A
  • Meet PO Driver Qualifications Requirements
  • Able to work weekends.
  • Ability to take after-hours phone calls.
  • 2 years working operations experience preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Supervisory experience required.
